Our home at 1000 foot elevation on St. Hugh's Misty Mountain. Sometimes we are literally in the clouds as we were in this picture.
We have a home in the Alaska range near Nenana, AK. At present it is roadless access, giving us almost exclusive access to the miles of wilderness without trails or roads, among deep ancient forest, and hidden valleys, rarely traveled by man. Here we enjoy a hard earned privacy and peace that has been our life long dream come true.

Where we live...
Here we have some of the scenic views from the area we live in. We have lived in the Nenana area since 1999. Our properties give us access to diverse environments in the Nenana area. We have mountain forests, tundra, muskeg, bogs, marshes, and access to hundreds of mile of Alaska's interior rivers/lakes. Generally we keep our favorite places as closely guarded secrets. But here we give a slice of what our life is like.
In the picture to the left, my son, our hunting dog, and I prepare to pack out meat from a successful moose hunt. We often hunt for moose in the Northern bogs and swamps south of Nenana. The environment is unlike anything one would encounter in Southern climes, but we have called it home and raised a happy healthy family here.
Winter...is a major part of our life in Alaska. It is a primal force that all Alaskans must reckon with. Our dogs are a sgnificant part of the winter adventure lifestyle that we enjoy. Sledding, Skiing, winter camping, Hauling lumber and firewood from the forests, trapping, hunting, moutain climbing and general exploration fill many winter days with good memories of that special life in Alaska.
Here a hoar frost has passed through from the night before, coating all the trees in a white frost, making everything a blur of winter white.
